Inside Out, the animated movie of Pixar Animation Studios operating under Disney, was released in 2015 and achieved great success. The production, which achieved a worldwide box office success of 858 million dollars and reached millions of fans, won the ‘Best Animated Feature Film’ award at the 2016 Academy Awards and was nominated for the ‘Best Original Screenplay’ category.
The production, directed by Pete Docter, received positive comments from both the audience and the critics with its interesting subject about the adventures of the emotions of a boy named Riley, who is trying to adapt to his new life after moving. The continuation of the successful film has also been talked about among the fans for a while. Now, there has been a development in this regard.
Inside Out 2 is coming!
According to the information revealed by Puck, a sequel to Inside Out is coming. It is stated that the official announcement of the film will be made at Disney’s D23 Expo event, which will be held this weekend. In fact, the director said that he did not have any sequels in mind after the first movie, and that he would work on other projects instead. Now the information that has emerged has shown that Pixar has rolled up its sleeves for Inside Out.
Two actors from the first movie are absent from Inside Out 2 due to Disney’s low pay offer
While there is no detail about the release date of the movie yet, there are details about the cast that will upset the fans in the allegations. Accordingly, Emmy-winning actor Bill Hader, whom we saw as ‘Fear’ in the first movie, and the star name Mindy Kaling, who appeared as ‘Disgust’, will not take part in Inside Out 2.
The reason why these two famous names portraying popular characters are not in the movie is the money Disney paid to the actors. According to the report, Disney offered Amy Poehler, who voiced the character of ‘Joy’ in Inside Out, a $5 million payment for the second movie, and $100,000 for the rest of the cast, without any bonus. This big difference rightly drew a reaction from the players. Disney later increased that price; however, Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling did not like the new fee again, causing the duo to leave the movie.
It should be added that the fees that Disney has recently paid to actors for voice acting have been a matter of debate. It was revealed that the actors were paid low wages in the animated movie Chip N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers, which managed to win an Emmy award in the past days. In fact, it was revealed that some of the names in the cast, who were not satisfied with the situation, participated in the film, despite the low money, just for the director Akiva Schaffer.
