pushing the limits
Reportedly, Infinix’s 260W fast charging standard will be built on a single 12 C battery with a 4-pump circuit design. For those who don’t know, the brand’s 180W Thunder Charge technology was powered by two 8C batteries. However, the new standard, which intelligently determines the power requirements, will be accompanied by a charger powered by GaN material and AHB circuit infrastructure.
As it is known, many users are skeptical of high-speed charging technologies due to the dangers they pose. Infinix, on the other hand, stated that the new standard has an efficiency of 98.5 percent and that after 1,000 charge cycles, the battery capacity will be preserved at 90 percent.
On the other hand, the new standard gets support for 110W wireless charging from a smaller but wider coil design in the same area and a custom-built charging station powered by a fan. Thus, it will offer a full charge opportunity in 16 minutes. Additionally, Infinix announced that its new Versatile Fast Charging Technology will support wired and wireless charging as well as reverse, bypass and multi-protocol charging. The new technology is expected to accompany the Infinix Note model, which will first be released this year.
