China-based mobile phone manufacturer Transsion broke new ground in the world with its Infinix brand. The company announced the world’s first light-colored leather technology that changes color under sunlight. The new technology will allow the creation of personalized patterns and color transitions by blocking the light from the back cover of the phones.
Will not require any additional energy
According to what has been reported, the leather technology, which is formed by integrating a photochromic compound into the skin that changes color under sunlight, will work by responding to ultraviolet rays. However, the shapes created will not be permanent on the back cover and will return to their original form after a while.
Aiming to offer users more personalization opportunities on their mobile phones, Transsion stated that the new technology is passive color changing technology, unlike normal electrochromic technology, that is, it does not require additional energy from the smartphone to make color changes.
