Three different groups are formed for the research, and a report is expected within two months. It is stated in the report that the categories of smartphones, laptops and tablets will be examined. Options will be discussed according to the results of the report.
In general, USB Type-C and Lightning standards are common in the portable device world. We also see microUSB input in relatively old or low-cost devices. The uniform charging arrangement will help reduce electronic waste. It has been stated that Apple has started to consider the USB Type-C standard for the iPhone series for a while.
