Leaks started coming in about the next Apple iMac Pro. According to newly revealed rumors, Apple is preparing to equip its desktop computer with a much more powerful processor this time. So much so that this processor will be more powerful than the M1 Max, and its name – very likely – M1 Ultra.
According to a shared tweet, Apple will go to an additional configuration for the upcoming iMac Pro beyond the M1 Max, and this 12-core CPU configuration will give the new iMac Pro extra power.

Apple’s M1 processor contained 8 cores. Using 8 cores with M1 Pro and 10 cores with M1 Max, Apple seems to revise it to 12 cores with M1 Ultra. This was met with skepticism when Apple first announced that it would move away from Intel in Mac processors. However, at the point we’ve reached, it’s not hard to see how logical Apple is.
