Samsung Galaxy S22 series was introduced at the Galaxy UNPACKED event held in February. As always, the smartphones, which were released with Qualcomm Snapdragon and Exynos variants, received their first software update near the end of February.

As part of its strategy to bring its newest features to its old models, Samsung introduced some camera functions unique to the Galaxy S22 to Galaxy S, Note and Z series phones at the beginning of May. Now turning its focus to the flagship, the technology giant Galaxy S22 has released an important update for the S22 + and S22 Ultra.

Performance-oriented update for Samsung Galaxy S22

According to SamMobile’s report, the new update is available for the Galaxy S22 series with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, while it has not yet arrived for the Exynos variant. Another update was released less than a month ago, and it was only focused on improving the security of the phone.

While this update does not bring any innovation, it focuses on making Galaxy S22 features work more smoothly. It is not unusual for Samsung to release an update in the middle of the month. It does not write any information in the change log, but a bug may have been discovered on the device that must be fixed.

Therefore, you should not skip the new update, which has an average size of 350 MB. You can start the download by going into the phone’s settings and going to Settings > Software update. If it doesn’t appear here, it probably hasn’t reached you yet and you may have to wait for a while.

The update has been released in most countries, starting with South Korea. It is currently unknown how long it will take to reach models with Exynos processors.
