The Galaxy S23 series is among the most anticipated smartphones of 2023. Many leaks have been made about the models to date, and details such as performance and design have been largely clarified. Finally, a new detail has emerged about the history of the Galaxy Unpacked event, where the devices will be introduced. So when will the Galaxy S23 series be introduced?
When will the Galaxy S23 series be introduced?
The countdown has begun for Samsung’s upcoming flagships. So far, countless reports have been shared about the designs and technical features of the Galaxy S23 series. With the approach of the new year, it is possible to say that there is a curious wait for the launch dates of smartphones. However, Samsung has not yet made a statement on the subject.
A recent report has claimed that the Galaxy S23 models will adopt a similar promotional schedule to their predecessors. If this rumor is true, the smartphones will be introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which will be held in the first week of February. On the other hand, the event will be held face-to-face and in San Francisco for the first time since the pandemic. As it is known, the South Korean manufacturer held its last face-to-face event in 2020.
One of the most curious models of the series is the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The smartphone has recently appeared in the Geekbench database and scored 1,521 points in single-core tests and 4,689 points in multi-core tests. The device will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which was introduced recently.
Qualcomm has reached an agreement with TSMC for its new processor. The chip, produced with 4 nm technology, uses one 3.19 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, two 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, two 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710 and three 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores. On the other hand, the Adreno 740 graphic interface, which also supports Ray Tracing technology, is featured.
Apart from that, the smartphone will come with an E6 Super AMOLED LTPO 3.0 display with a maximum brightness of 2,200 nits. At this point, one of the most striking details is the screen brightness. Because the product will have a screen that is about 200 nits brighter than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which was showcased in September.
It is stated that the screen of the smartphone has a PWM frequency of about 2,000 Hz. This greatly reduces eye strain in long-term use. At the same time, its panel will use 45 percent less power than its predecessor, the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
