The iPhone series, which has been launched since 2007, has a large share in the success of Apple, which has become the first company with a market value of more than 3 trillion dollars a while ago. The company, which presents its new models with high-end features to users in September or October every year, is preparing to make significant changes in the screens of the iPhone 15 series, which it is allegedly preparing to introduce in 2023.
BOE can produce panels of iPhone 15 Pro models
As it is known, the screens of iPhone models have the signatures of different component manufacturers. For example, the screens of the mini and standard model of the iPhone 13 series, which were introduced in September of last year, are provided by the Chinese electronic component manufacturer BOE, while the panels of the Pro models with high-end features are provided by Samsung Display and LG Display.
However, according to The Elec, this situation will change radically with the iPhone 15 series, which is expected to debut in the coming years. It has been claimed that BOE, which is among the suppliers, wants to produce LTPO supported OLED screens of Pro models as of 2023 and Apple is also very warm to this demand.
The past failures of BOE, which is currently working as a screen manufacturer of mini and standard models, also leave a big question mark in the minds.
As it will be remembered, the company wanted to produce the OLED panels of the iPhone 12 series, which was released in 2020, but failed in the quality controls made by Apple, causing disappointment. For this reason, Samsung and LG Display, which are very experienced in this field, have undertaken the screen supply of the said series. Of course, BOE later managed to get into the supply chain with the iPhone 13 series, achieving the quality Apple wanted.
So what do you think about this subject? Do you think BOE can produce the LTPO technology OLED panels of the iPhone 15 series as claimed? Do not forget to share your views with us in the comments section.
