IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva stated that regulation is a better choice than banning cryptocurrencies altogether.
During the session of the G20 meeting in India, Georgieva stated that it is a better idea for the firm to create regulation on behalf of cryptocurrencies rather than imposing barriers. The International Monetary Fund advocated making it more optimal by modifying and regulating crypto assets, rather than imposing a ban by directly addressing the crypto industry.
IMF Refuses to Ban Crypto Assets Completely!
Following the financial-based G20 meeting in India, Georgieva stated that she aimed to make crypto-assets favorable by adding differences and regulations rather than outright bans on crypto.
Stating how the United Nations Financial Institution looks at digital assets and its plans as a regulation at the meetings, Georgieva stated her opinion on digital assets and added that she approaches them in a constructive way, not destructively.
