Asus has released fixes for various vulnerabilities affecting nearly two dozen router models. Some of the vulnerabilities are considered critical, and one even dates back to 2018. Existing vulnerabilities leave users vulnerable to attacks such as remote code execution and DDoS.

Fixed critical vulnerabilities in Asus routers

If you own various Asus RT, GT, ZenWifi and TUF routers, we recommend checking for firmware updates as soon as possible. For the update, you need to log in to your router and run the automatic update tool or manually download the firmware update from the Asus support website.

Released updates fix nine critical vulnerabilities. One of them is a critical vulnerability that security researchers have been tracking since 2018 that allows hackers to run arbitrary code. It is very interesting that this vulnerability exists in devices for such a long time. It should be noted that all other security issues are classified as high severity. If you are using the following Asus routers, we recommend that you do the updates.
