READING NOW If this claim turns out to be true, Samsung may surprise everyone with the Galaxy S23 processor.

The latest claim for the Galaxy S23, which is expected to be Samsung’s new Galaxy S model, came from industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for its reliable leaks. It is said that the new generation Snapdragon mobile processors are much more powerful than Samsung’s own Exynos 2300 processor, which pushes the company to use only Snapdragon this time and skip Exynos for the S23.

In Galaxy S phones, Samsung previously split the processors between its own processor and Qualcomm processors. For example, 70% of the S22 phones came with a Qualcomm 8 Gen 1 processor and 30% came with the Samsung Exynos 2200. Exynos phones are mostly sold in the European market.

Neither the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 nor the Samsung Exynos 2300 have been officially announced yet, but the rumors have started. Both of these chipsets will use 4 nanometer architecture technology. However, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, the Samsung CPU is “in no way” able to compete with Qualcomm. Samsung won’t want to launch a new phone without a significant performance or battery life difference, so it looks like it’s going to go for the Snapdragon.

This move was also predicted by other sources. It seems that Samsung is trying to prepare a new and improved Exynos for 2025, and in the meantime, it will walk with a Qualcomm processor in the models it will release.
