One of the companies that stand out at this point is Polestar. The company is known as the electric brand of Swedish automaker Volvo and is exhibiting the Polestar 3 model at the ongoing fair. Polestar 3 has an aggressive design and reflects the new generation electric vehicle concept to the drivers. There are also many built-in features to support the next generation of advanced driver assistance systems that can help keep passengers safe on the road and improve the driving experience. Smart Eye, one of these technologies, appeared before technology enthusiasts at the ongoing CES 2023.

Smart Eye is known as a Start-up that analyzes the human face and behavior. Applying new deep learning methodologies and large amounts of data, Human Insight provides real-time analysis with a high level of computational accuracy by leveraging multiple data sources thanks to its artificial intelligence.

The start-up states that they combine different sensor technologies thanks to their Multimodal approach, and claims that they measure many different aspects of human behavior. As seen in the prototype exhibited, in the driver’s seat, a dual camera with 2 Megapixel resolution is placed on the instrument panel to monitor the behavior of the driver. At this point, it is stated that eye tracking can be done even if the driver is wearing sunglasses or in the dark. It should also be noted that this feature works with Nvidia’s computing system.

Dennis Nobelius, COO of Polestar, said in a recent statement that there are more than 20 different sensors in the Polestar 3 model. Apart from that, the model has a battery with a capacity of 111 kWh. The vehicle, which will not upset the drivers in terms of charging speeds, can reach from 10 percent to 80 percent in 30 minutes at a 250 kW charging station. If it is charged at home, it can fully charge in 11 hours with a power of 11 kW. Finally, the maximum range of the Polestar 3, which can produce 517 horsepower, is 480 km.
