Toyota, one of the largest automobile manufacturers in the world, came up with a brand new model today. The Japan-based company introduced the concept vehicle called Corolla Cross H2, which is a different version of the Toyota Corolla Cross in the C-SUV segment.
Although the images shared by Toyota reveal that we will be confused with a conventional design, there is a big change on the engine side. Unlike other cars, the new Corolla Cross will be powered by hydrogen and will contribute to the company’s environmental goals.

Toyota created a prototype of the vehicle, which is still in the testing stages, and showed it to us. Lifting the hood, according to the company, is a three-cylinder 1.6-liter engine (which we saw in the GR Corolla) with high-pressure hydrogen injection technology. Increasing its expertise in hydrogen with the Mirai model, the automobile giant also adds that the vehicle has an area that can carry up to five passengers and luggage. When we look at the interior of the vehicle, we encounter the classic Toyota design.
The Japan-based company did not share further details of the car and the hydrogen issue, but added that they have completed 40% of the way to start selling these products. The manufacturer states that such tools can have positive results. The concept vehicle has internal combustion engine technology that runs on hydrogen instead of gasoline. This means that the vehicle may cost less than battery-powered electric cars. Of course, faster refueling times and longer ranges are also advantages.
Toyota, however, thinks that hydrogen can also be beneficial to motorsport. The company says that improvements in power and torque have been seen in the studies on motorsports, while the range has increased by approximately 30%.
The Japanese automaker, which has been criticized for adopting electric cars, is expanding its approach to use different technologies with the Corolla Cross H2. The company describes the move towards purely electric cars as unreasonable; The reason for this is that customers around the world have different needs.
