Huobi said they are reviewing their hiring policies and reducing staffing is “possible”.
Huobi, one of the leading crypto-asset trading platforms, spoke after Chinese blockchain journalist Colin Wu claimed that the company plans to cut its workforce by 30%. Accordingly, the company said the layoffs were “likely.”
A Huobi spokesperson told The Block:
“Huobi Global is in the process of reviewing both its hiring policies and existing manpower with the aim of realigning it to their operational needs. (…) In addition to such a review, layoffs are also a possibility.”
