FSR 2.1 and DirectStorage support will come with CryEngine 5.11

David Fifield, General Manager of Hunt Showdown production, talked about the future of the game. According to the statement, the game will receive a game engine update after 4 years and the CryEngine version will be upgraded from 5.6 to 5.11. This update, which will strengthen the visual experience on new generation consoles, will also contain important innovations for PC players.

According to Fifield, Hunt: Showdown with CryEngine 5.11; HDR will get AMD FSR 2.1, DirectStorage and DirectX12 support. With DirectStorage, the game will have serious improvements in load times. In addition, the game, which has not supported technologies such as DLSS until now, will enable serious performance increases with FSR 2.1. According to Fifield’s statements, the production will continue to be supported beyond 2023. It looks like Showdown will be a cross-generation supported production like Rainbow Six: Siege.
