Cyberpunk 2077, which was first introduced in 2020 and was criticized for containing many errors, has received significant innovations in three years. The game will change completely with the free 2.0 package that will be released on September 21. One manager even asked you to check your computer cooler.
Update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on September 21
CD Projekt Red has announced the release dates for Cyberpunk 2077’s free 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty pack. The 2.0 update will be available on all platforms on September 21. This major free pack will bring extensive changes and graphical improvements to the game.
Key changes include a redesigned skill tree, an overhauled cyberware system, improved artificial intelligence, a revamped police system, and changes to the interface. On the other hand, players will have more options in vehicle battles.
According to CD Project Redi’s statement, you can now shoot from vehicles, launch attacks with mounted weapons, and hack enemy vehicles during chase scenes. NCPD (the game’s police) will also initiate a chase by following players who try to escape by vehicle.
The Phantom Liberty expansion pack, starring the famous actor Idris Elba, will be released on September 26 only on PC and new generation consoles. Players will take on a new story and missions in a new region of Night City called Dogtown.
In addition to all these changes, it is expected that the graphics of Cyberpunk 2077 will be upgraded. In fact, the game’s chief stage manager, Filip Pierściński, asked PC owners to check their cooling systems before the new update.
