Adobe, the developer of perhaps the number one tools in the content world, is making one of the biggest acquisitions in recent times. The popular design tool Figma will now operate under the umbrella of Adobe.
Combination of Adobe and Figma
Founded in 2012, Figma enables designers to work remotely and collaboratively on their projects, save them to the cloud and create prototypes. The ability for designers to easily work remotely has made Figma popular, especially with the pandemic. The company, which has a profit margin of around 90 percent, will dominate a market of 16.5 billion dollars in 2025.

Adobe decided to join forces with Figma as it operates for similar purposes. The purchase will be made for $20 billion, and Adobe will hand over 6 million shares in total to Figma team, keeping it locked for 4 years. The remainder will be paid in advance. The Figma boss will report to the Adobe boss while on duty.
Adobe plans to integrate Figma expertise with its own tools. Thus, perhaps the largest co-design ecosystem in the internet world will emerge. The acquisition is expected to be completed in 2023.
