The top Ethereum wallet owner has added to his meme crypto assets by purchasing close to half a trillion Shiba Inu (SHIB).
WhaleStats reports that one of the largest Ethereum whales has purchased a large amount of Shiba Inu, doubling the amount of tokens it holds, reaching one trillion SHIB.
One of the biggest Ethereum whales named after Tolkien’s novel, Gimli’s portfolio is mostly in Ethereum. Other than that, the whale bought a staggering amount of Shiba Inu in one transaction: SHIB 442,637,867,858 for $1,561,701. According to this wallet’s web page, “Gimli” now holds $38,184,560 worth of SHIB. As for “Gimli’s” other crypto assets, this whale mostly owns Metaverse related tokens.
Overall, the top 100 Ethereum whales hold SHIB in 17.42% of their portfolio, which equates to $1,558,453,796 in fiat equivalent. Shiba Inu is the second most valuable token in dollar terms after FTX Token (FTT).
It was reported on Wednesday that a crypto investor bought 442,637,867,858 SHIB and turned into a new SHIB whale. Another similar case occurred in early February, when an investor became a new whale by buying 3,457,477,154,937 SHIB in a single purchase.
At the time of writing, the 14th cryptocurrency Shiba Inu was changing hands at $0.000002567.
