Apple introduced the new M1 Pro and MacBook Pro models with M1 Max processors last week. Although a short time has passed since the promotion, there were delays in the delivery dates. Apple has already started giving November and December for the MacBook Pro delivery date.
Why the delivery date has changed for MacBook Pro models
Apple opened pre-orders for the new MacBook Pro models with ARM-based M1 Pro and M1 Max processors post-launch. However, users who ordered last week in this pre-order seem to be quite lucky. Because Apple gave an extended delivery date from November to the end of December for those who ordered this week.
Those who pre-order after the promotion will receive their MacBook Pro until October 26. However, according to the new calendar, the delivery date for the 14-inch Macbook Pro is November 16-23 when ordered now. The delivery date for MacBook Pro 16-inch options is set as November 23 – December 1. For higher storage options of these models, the delivery date can be extended until December 23.
Apple does not have an official statement about the delivery dates. However, under this delay, there may be more demand for MacBook Pro models than expected. Again, Corona measures continue all over the world, and this may have disrupted the MacBook Pro production processes. Of course, the ongoing chip crisis may also be among the reasons for this delivery delay. It has been seen that Apple has made such delayed deliveries before in terms of marketing. However, this time around, MacBook Pro delivery dates seem to have been delayed considerably.
