While scientists and space fans were holding their breath and waiting for the results after the new generation James Webb Space Telescope was equipped with large shields and sent into space, the veteran Hubble Space Telescope has reached a new milestone.

In a statement made the other day, NASA shared the information that the Hubble Space Telescope, which was released into space from the Space shuttle Discovery on April 25, 1990, left behind 1 billion seconds in space travel. The Hubble Space Telescope, which sent us some of the most memorable images we’ve ever seen of the universe, reached this deadline on January 1, 2022.

The Hubble Space Telescope, which has been carrying information from space to our world for more than 31 years, continues its journey in cooperation with NASA’s European Space Agency. With more than 1.5 million scientific observations, the telescope has struggled with technical glitches in recent years, but the telescope team is doing their best to keep Hubble up and running.
