Huawei today announced the MatePad Air tablet, which has been on the agenda for a while. The device, which comes with a thin aluminum body, draws attention with its top-class features. Here are the features of the model, which shows that it comes as a rival to the Apple iPad Air with its name.
Huawei MatePad Air appeared with Snapdragon 888 processor. This chipset is accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The Chinese brand has included the self-developed HarmonyOS 3.1 operating system on its new tablet.
Adaptive refresh rate
The device has a 11.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2800 × 1840 pixels (2.8K) and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The panel comes with Super Motion technology that supports switching from 30 Hz to 144 Hz. It is also among the notes that the Huawei MatePad Air is the world’s first tablet with HDR Vivid certification.
The tablet is powered by an 8,300 mAh battery with 40W fast charging. Let’s also say that it carries a thin and light body with a thickness of 6.4 mm and a weight of 508 grams. Huawei MatePad Air has support for the second generation Huawei M-pencil pen and smart magnetic keyboard. It has an 8-megapixel main camera on the front and a 13-megapixel main camera on the back.
Huawei MatePad Air is offered in five different color options: black, white, blue, green and purple. The tablet can be pre-ordered in China as of today. Let’s say that the sales will start on May 25. It is not yet known whether it will be released in other countries. Below are the price tags that vary depending on the configuration.
