After US embargoes, restrictions and sanctions, Huawei’s decline on the mobile side continues. This led the company to become one of the pioneers in the smartwatch, headset and laptop market. However, it has not completely given up on the smartphone market. Because the Mate 50 Pro design, which will be released in the coming period, has emerged.
Mate 50 Pro design revealed!
After the sanctions, Huawei suspended many models expected to be released in 2021. But last February, a company executive confirmed the future of the Mate 50 Pro and some other devices, the design of which was revealed today.
When we look at the images of the Mate 50 Pro, we understand that Huawei will launch this device in a structure similar to what we saw in the Mate 40, not with the new design approach in the P50 series. Of course there are some innovative touches. But the camera island on the back remains as it is.
Another striking detail in the images was the absence of the Leica signature on the camera island. Because in the past months, Xiaomi and Leica officially announced that they are working together. The biggest reason for this situation was the decrease in the number of devices produced due to embargoes and the revenues accordingly.
In addition, due to the embargo, the Mate 50 Pro is expected to come with 4G support, just like the P50 Pro. However, Huawei announced that it is working on a case that adds 5G support to the devices it connects to. So it can solve this problem indirectly.
