Is Huawei coming back?
According to well-known market analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the demand for Huawei Mate 60 and Mate Pro is extraordinary. So much so that Huawei’s shipment plan for the second half of 2023 reached 5.5-6 million units, a tremendous increase of 20 percent. New reports revealed that more than 1 million Mate 60 Pros were sold in about 5 days.
For those who don’t know, Mate 50 Pro 4G, which was released in September 2022, reached cumulative shipments of approximately 2.5 million units after 12 months. Mate 40 Pro 5G, introduced in October 2020, sold approximately 6 million units in the same time period. At this point, Kuo is of the opinion that the Mate 60 Pro 5G will exceed 12 million units in the first 12 months.
Moreover, the activity in Huawei is not limited to this. The company’s smartphone shipments are expected to increase by 65 percent on an annual basis, reaching a total of 38 million units in 2023. In 2024, this figure will reach 60 million. Of course, we should point out that the Mate 60 series is behind this. Therefore, Huawei is expected to be the strongest growing smartphone brand worldwide. So what do you think about this? Can Huawei regain its lost market share?
