As reported, the German Ministry of Internal Affairs has made a new proposal that requires the removal of 5G equipment from Chinese suppliers from local telecom operators. It is also stated that this restriction will be valid until 2026. Therefore, if it is put into effect, manufacturers such as Huawei and ZTE will be banned from yet another European country.
Huawei, on the other hand, says that such restrictions have a political basis. On the subject, Huawei Germany Corporate Communications Vice President Carsten Senz emphasized that the company has been used safely by German consumers for a long time, and argued that this decision would cause German telecom operators to face additional costs.
