The six major improvements in HarmonyOS 3.0 are the use of various terminals, system ecology, universal card, uninterrupted operation, privacy & security, and access to information. It was stated that the HarmonyOS 3 HyperTerminal function supports 12 kinds of smart devices, including printers, smart glasses and automobile equipment. In addition to smartphones, smart displays and Windows 11 PCs can become the center of HyperTerminal.

HarmonyOS 3 now supports the combination and collaboration of more smart devices. PCs, monitors and headphones will be able to work together. For example, when working on the computer, the screen will be divided into two parts. One of them will show the contents of the computer, and the other will show the phone screen. This feature will also enable smoother collaboration between different devices such as printers and smartphones. The operating system also allows a phone to connect with two different wireless earbuds.

Improved power consumption and responsiveness

HarmonyOS 3.0 comes with the Super Frame game engine. Graphics processing power consumption was reduced by 11%, while application responsiveness increased by 14%. In other words, HarmonyOS 3.0 will offer a smoother experience on devices with low memory. Screen scrolling fluency has been improved by 18%, while app launch speed has been increased by 7%. The company’s smart TVs will be able to change the audio output from the remote control. Thus, users will be able to choose between TV speakers, soundbars and headphones.

Huawei provides software to some Chinese automakers. Super home screen support has come to the HarmonyOS smart cockpit. To put it more clearly, mobile applications can be mirrored and used on the car screen. HarmonyOS 3 further improves system architecture as well as user privacy and security. As you know, this was one of the main reasons why the US government banned Huawei. HarmonyOS 3.0 now lets you know which apps are connected to the network, cameras, microphone, etc. has a privacy center where you can control how often you access it
