Fake Huawei headphones sold more than 330,000
According to court documents, Huawei filed a lawsuit against a seller named Zhang Moumou in China for violating sales and copyrights. Stating that the seller uses the Huawei brand name in many parts of the product lists, the technology giant emphasized that the total sales value of the headphones is 4.09 million yuan and more than 330,000 products have been sold.
The outcome of the lawsuit was in favor of Huawei. The court stated that the use of the Huawei name on the products constituted trademark infringement and ordered the seller to pay 403,000 yuan compensation for economic losses and reasonable costs. However, it is not yet known whether the ears sold are opened to the global market.
In addition, Huawei is not taking action for the first time against fake headphones using its own brand. In April of this year, a digital store selling fake headphones was fined 150,000 yuan. In May, Huawei earned 1 million yuan ($ 143 thousand) in compensation from a similar website.
