Chinese technology giant Huawei, which we know mostly for its products such as smartphones, is also making moves on automobiles. Today, a statement from Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s smart car department, reveals that the company will soon come up with a vehicle that can be highly appreciated.
Chengdong has recently officially announced the new electric sedan called “Luxeed”. Although not many details are shared about the car, there are a few important information.

According to Huawei’s statement, Luxeed will bring the coupe experience to a different level. When we examine the design, we can say that Luxeed looks quite stylish. The symmetrical front, the Luxeed logo above the light strip at the front, and the concealed door handles are some of the highlights.
The most striking thing about the car is that it will come with Huawei’s new operating system, HarmonyOS 4. Introduced recently, HarmonyOS 4 had many new features. This means that the vehicle will have these features and will be compatible with Huawei branded smartphones and smart watches. With Harmony OS 4, we can see things like multi-screen usage, more apps, console-level gaming on the big screen in the cockpit. Let’s also mention that Luceed will have Huawei ADS 2.0 smart driving system.
It has not been announced who will manufacture the electric sedan. However, estimates are that the producer will be Chery. Some claims say Luxeed will be built on the E0X architecture used in the Chery Exeed ES and ET models. This supports the rumors that the two companies will jointly make the new vehicle.
