HTC Desire 22 Pro will come with essential apps for navigating the metaverse and managing your crypto and NFTs.
Smartphone maker HTC has launched its first “Viverse” phone, which is designed to be compatible with the metaverse platform and includes crypto and NFT functionality. HTC Desire 22 Pro comes pre-equipped with apps that let you access and manage your metaverse content from the phone, including crypto and NFTs. A Viverse app also allows you to buy NFT in a digital marketplace and “create your own sandbox” per announcement. Desire 22 Pro will also launch with an embedded crypto wallet based on Ethereum and Polygon.
The device is optimized to work with HTC’s lightweight Vive Flow VR headset with HDCP 2.2 connectivity that lets you mirror content wirelessly to the VR headset, and a Vive Manager app also lets you set up and manage your VR gear.
As it is known, HTC is one of the early adopters of crypto technology. In 2018, it produced the Exodus 1 smartphone with a built-in crypto hardware wallet and the ability to run a full Bitcoin node.
