HTC U23 Pro 5G Release Date Clarified

HTC, which has been keeping quiet for years and investing in different areas such as virtual reality in this process, announced a device that will work on the Viverse platform last week. The fact that the device in question is a smartphone also pleased the users who were waiting for the return of the company.

The “U” name, which was previously used in both mid-range and flagship models, appeared with the U12+ in 2018 and the mid-range U20 5G devices in 2020. The current model is expected to appeal to the middle class rather than a flagship.

The device, whose full name is HTC U23 Pro 5G, will be introduced on May 18.

Although we still have to stick to rumors about the hardware features of the device, HTC’s announcement from its official account and the emphasis on the letter “u” in this announcement clears our doubts as to whether the device is from this series.

In the hardware part, it is thought that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, will have an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and finally, it will come with at least 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Another pleasing detail in the design part is that the 3.5mm jack input will be located on the top of the phone.

The fact that it will be based on the Viverse platform means that the phone will undoubtedly have a few capabilities in the virtual reality space. But there is no clear information about them yet. We will share them with you when the device is introduced. You can share your thoughts about the U23 Pro 5G in the comments.
