Apple users are very curious about displaying iPhone battery percentage. Control center to see battery percentage on iPhone with Face ID; To see it on an iPhone with a home button, you need to go to Settings > Battery and turn on the Battery Percentage option. Unfortunately, iPhones with Face ID do not support displaying the battery percentage permanently in the status bar.

iPhone battery percentage display
Since the notch on the iPhone 13 series is slightly smaller, many expected Apple to bring the battery percentage back to the status bar. Unfortunately, the expectations were not fulfilled. But still there are ways to get battery percentage back to iPhone status bar.
The easiest way to always make the battery percentage available is to use the battery widget on the home screen or on another page of the app. Thanks to the developed ‘Batteries toolkit’, you can place a widget that constantly displays the battery percentage on your device.
Adding the Batteries widget to your home screen
To add the Batteries widget to your home screen to monitor the battery levels of your iPhone and its accessories (AirPods, Apple Pencil, etc.):
- Touch and hold the Home Screen background until the apps start to vibrate.
- Tap the (+) icon at the top of the screen, then scroll down and tap Batteries.
- Swipe left and right in widgets to view size options. Different sizes display different information.
- When you see the size you want, tap Add Widget, then tap Done.
This will add a battery widget to the home screen. This way, you will be able to view the battery percentage on your iPhone without having to open the control center every time. If you do not want to use the widget, you can also view it by swiping your finger down from the top right corner of the screen.
Show battery percentage in status bar
On iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone 8 or earlier, iPad and iPod touch (7th generation), you can see the battery percentage in the status bar. If you enable Low Power Mode on your iPhone SE (2nd generation) or iPhone 8 or earlier, the battery percentage is always displayed in the status bar.
- Open Settings.
- Enter the battery section.
- Activate the Battery Percentage option.
When you do this, the status of your charge in percent will appear next to the battery icon. The battery icon may be green when fully charged, and orange when it drops below a certain level.
