If there is anything as annoying as advertising SMS, it is pop-up messages that operators send to our phone at unexpected times. Mostly, Turkcell and Vodafone line owners complain about pop-up advertisement messages that are sent to their phones without their approval.
Mobile applications that collect the most data about you
Turn off important operator messages
The content of such messages, which are sent to increase billing amounts rather than to provide benefits, varies from operator to operator and according to your line, but the option offered to turn off the message never changes. We continue to use the phone by tapping Cancel or Cancel.
For a solution, you can turn off SMS by clicking “Cancel or cancel” or by pressing the back button, etc. from the operators. Since we hear ingenious sentences, we look for the solution ourselves. At this point, most of us go to cancel the promotional messages from the line settings or send an SMS to cancel as stated in the message, but this does not work at all. Revoking the data usage permission may also not solve the problem. Here is the way to turn off pop up messages in Turkcell and Vodafone:
Turkcell pop-up message blocking
There is nothing you can do on the device to prevent pop up messages in Turkcell. In order to block instant messages sent to your line – usually about subscriptions and advertisements – you call the Turkcell customer service number (532) and ask them to turn off the “Instant Reply” service. It is closed instantly upon your request and operator pop up messages are no longer displayed. Turkcell pop up message closing process is that easy.
Turning off Turkcell pop up messages in 2 steps:
- Call Turkcell customer service by dialing 532.
- Request that your line be closed to Turkcell Instant Answer service.
Vodafone pop-up message blocking
You do not need to contact customer service to block pop up messages on Vodafone. Just type CLOSE and send an SMS to 7232. With this SMS, you turn off Vodafone Yanımda interactive campaign notifications.
Another way to prevent pop-up messages – usually device and tariff offers – is to turn off mobile business card from Vodafone menu, but it should be noted that this does not work. Sending SMS to 7232 is the simplest way to block Vodafone pop up advertisements. Another way is to turn off the data usage trace feature through the Vodafone Yanımda application.
Turn off Vodafone pop up messages in 2 steps:
- Open your preferred messages app to send sms on your phone.
- Send a text message to 7232 by typing CLOSE on the SMS screen.
Vodafone data usage permission turn off
If you do not want to be informed about the campaigns, promotions, services and other services that Vodafone has prepared for its subscribers, you can turn off the data usage permission by typing IPTAL and sending a text message to 5203 or via Vodafone Yanımda application.
Turkcell data processing permission cancellation
If you do not want to be informed about Turkcell’s campaigns and services, simply write IZINIPTAL and send an SMS to 2780. You can update your data permission preferences by following the “My Settings – My Line Settings” step on the Turkcell application under the new name of Digital Operator.
