Samsung will use high-cost components in its Galaxy S23 series smartphones. These include an overclocked version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC processor and a 200MP main camera.
However, according to a new report published in Maekyung, a South Korean tech publication, Samsung will price the Galaxy S23 series just like the Galaxy S22 series. In other words, Samsung may have agreed to make less profit from its next flagship series. If Samsung raises prices on the new series of mobile phones, then Apple will lose its competitive advantage with the iPhone 14 series. Probably Samsung is aware of this and thinks it would be better to compromise on price.
Even if it means a further decrease in the company’s operating profit, the South Korean technology giant’s launch of the Galaxy S23 at the same prices as the Galaxy S22 will be a good development, especially for Samsung fans. If the report turns out to be correct, we could see the Galaxy S23 with a price tag of $ 750, the Galaxy S23 Plus $ 900 and the Galaxy S23 Ultra with a price tag of $ 1,100.
The iPhone 15 series smartphones will most likely be sold at even higher prices than the iPhone 14 series. This may give Samsung a chance to increase the prices of the Galaxy S23 series smartphones towards the end of the year. But for now, we don’t expect the Galaxy S23 series to be sold with a higher price tag than the S22…
