Always On Display is a dimly lit lock screen mode. With the release of the iOS 16.2 operating system, owners of the flagship device have the option to remove the wallpaper from the screen, leaving only the widgets and clock.
Three devices were used during testing. The first time the screen was off, the second time the device was in Always On Display mode with the wallpaper, the third time it was in a similar mode, but only the clock was displayed on the screen.
Its effect is maximum 20% in 24 hours of use.
Comparing the three modes (with wallpaper, without wallpaper and screen off), the result for 24 hours of operation was as follows:
- Screen off – 100% charge remaining.
- Only hour – 84% charge remaining.
- Wallpaper + clock – 80% charge remaining.
