Apple has reduced the discount amount for Android phones it accepts under the official trade-in program. The technology giant offers some discounts to customers who want to buy their products such as iPhone, iPad, Mac in certain countries, especially in the USA and Germany, for their old phones.
Customers who benefit from the ‘Apple Trade In’ program can exchange old products such as iPhone 6s, Apple Watch 2, iPad mini, as well as Samsung and Google-made Android phones. The company, which gives a gift discount card that can be used in Apple to those who meet the required conditions, has reduced the maximum price it pays for Android devices.
Apple drops the discount amount for Android phones
Apple reduced the discount applied for the Galaxy S21 + 5G, one of Samsung’s most powerful flagships, by $ 110 to $ 325. Previously, S21+ users could save up to $435 when they wanted to buy a new Apple product. The discount applied for the Galaxy S21 5G dropped from $325 to $260.
On the other hand, Apple reduced the discount amount applied for Google’s flagship Pixel 5 from $315 to $235; Google did not make any changes for the Pixel 3a, Galaxy S8++ and S8. The discount amounts updated with Apple’s decision are as follows:
