When Samsung recently announced the Galaxy S22 series, it said that all its new high-end phones have LTPO OLED displays. While introducing the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus, the company stated that it has a variable refresh rate of 10Hz-120Hz, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra claimed to have a variable refresh rate of 1Hz-120Hz. However, it seems that the company is not so sure about the refresh rate of its new phones.
Just a few days after the launch of Galaxy Unpacked 2022, Samsung changed the variable refresh rate figures of the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ from 10Hz-120Hz to 48Hz-120Hz, which it announced in the press release. However, the website for the German market (in the region where Exynos 2200 versions of the phones are sold) still mentions the 10Hz-120Hz figure for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+.
It could also be a marketing policy, but the company’s lack of transparency about it seems debatable.
