According to this research, the COVID-19 immunity of people who receive the mRNA-based Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine begins to decline 6 months after the completion of the process. By the 7th month, the amount of antibodies in the body decreases to a very low level.

The scientists took two different blood samples from 46 adult individuals for the study in question. The first of these blood samples was taken immediately after the second dose of vaccine, and the second was taken 6 months later. The experts, who counted antibodies between the two samples, determined that there was a decrease in the number of antibodies as time passed. It attracted attention due to the fact that this decrease was as high as 10 times. “Our study showed that the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine provides high levels of antibody formation, but this level decreases approximately 10 times up to 7 months,” the experts said.
According to the research, people who have received two doses of mRNA-based coronavirus vaccine must also receive the third dose of the vaccine in order to increase the amount of antibodies.
