The remarkable results about the vaccines, which are the most effective weapon in the coronavirus pandemic, have been announced. In studies conducted by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it was found that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine prevented 93 percent of hospitalizations of young people between the ages of 12 and 18.
The CDC conducted the research by examining data from young people who contracted COVID-19 between June and September. In this context, the experts, who reached the data of 179 young people, determined that only 3 percent of the young people who were hospitalized after contracting the disease were vaccinated, while 97 percent were unvaccinated. Moreover, among these 179 young people, 29 people who were intubated and 2 patients who died were unvaccinated.
