Houston Texans joins the list of crypto partnerships and payment deals in the NFL by signing a deal with Texas-based crypto wallet provider BitWallet.

NFL team Houston Texans became the first organization in the league to sell game packs in exchange for crypto. The move comes with a deal with Texas-based crypto firm BitWallet, which became the team’s official crypto wallet provider on Tuesday. BitWallet will also provide brokerage services for Houston Texans by exchanging cryptocurrencies.

A First in NFL History by Texans and BitWallet

According to an announcement from NFL team Houston Texans, local digital marketing agency EWR Digital made the first game pack purchase using crypto shortly after Texans launched its crypto game pack sale, making it the first time in NFL history to exchange digital assets. The match package was sold.

At this stage, it is not mentioned that only regular match tickets can be purchased with digital assets, it seems that the crypto deal is only for match packages. The match package usually includes kiosks in the stadium, expensive alcohol, bathrooms, TVs, attendants and VIP seats to watch the game.

The Texans website does not list a price for single-game or full-season game packages. The cost of a single game package for the sofa-to-team is estimated to be between $14,000 and $25,000. However, a BitWallet representative said in a statement that the figure could go up to $40,000.
