The update covers iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone SE 1st generation, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4th generation and iPod Touch 7th generation devices for iOS and iPadOS. Apple says the update fixes a vulnerability in ImageIO (the framework that allows applications to read and write most image file formats and access image metadata).
