Will the iPhone be able to charge wirelessly in reverse?
In addition to the high-speed wireless charging feature in flagship Android smartphones, reverse wireless charging is also occasionally seen. Thus, charging support is provided for compatible accessories such as fully wireless headphones. However, it has a downside as it consumes battery. Apple is probably taking that into account, too.

A new patent that has emerged shows that Apple has started working on reverse wireless charging. The fact that iPhone users can wirelessly charge products such as AirPods or Apple Watch will increase interaction, but a solution to battery consumption also needs to be found.
Wireless reverse charging may not be implemented immediately, as it’s still at the patent stage. In order to wait for Apple’s more efficient components, it may include this technology in series such as iPhone 15 or iPhone 16 or only in Pro versions.
