Japanese automotive giant Honda introduced its new fully autonomous vehicle produced for industrial purposes at an event it organized. The electric vehicle, called “autonomous work vehicle”, has a very cute design and functional features. Let’s take a closer look at this vehicle, which is planned to be released a few years later.
Honda’s autonomous work vehicle, which is still in the prototype stage, can be used in factories or on construction sites. The autonomous vehicle, where loads are placed in an area called “bed”, can take the load from one place and leave it to another place thanks to its GPS system. The advanced obstacle recognition feature in the vehicle allows the vehicle to avoid places that it cannot pass, thus allowing the cargo to be transported in a healthy way.
Introducing Honda’s new autonomous business vehicle!
The fully electric autonomous work vehicle can carry loads of up to 900 kilograms. The vehicle, which offers up to 10 hours of use even when fully loaded, can reach a speed of 16 km / h. Teams using the autonomous work vehicle can direct the vehicle via a mobile application with an internal screen.
It is unclear when the Honda Autonomous Business Vehicle will be released. However, the company continues to work to make this vehicle a mass-produced product. The company even went on a search for companies that wanted to test this vehicle as part of North America’s largest construction fair CONEXPO-CON/AGG. If this cute vehicle gets full marks from companies, Honda can turn this prototype into a real product.
