Homeworld 3’s system requirements have been announced: It may upset players

PC system requirements for Homeworld 3, developed by Blackbird Interactive and published by Gearbox Software, have been shared. Homeworld 3 PC system requirements have been announced

For those who missed it, Homeworld 3 was first announced for the PC platform in 2019. The production was initially planned to be released in the 4th quarter of 2022, but was postponed to 2023 due to the workload of developers. Last May, the release date of the game was announced as February 2024.

According to the list published by Blackbird Interactive, the minimum required graphics card for Homeworld 3 is GTX 1060 or RX 480 8GB. Additionally, users will need a minimum of 6GB VRAM, 12GB RAM, 40GB storage and an Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X processor. On the other hand, 16GB RAM, Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor and Nvidia RTX 2070 / RX 5700 graphics card are required to play the game at medium settings.

These requirements are quite high for a real-time strategy game. However, interestingly, there will be no obligation to use SSD. For those who don’t know, Homeworld 3 will be a 3D real-time strategy game set in space. It will also feature new ships, realistic ballistic weapons and fleets, as well as multiple modes including a story mode, multiplayer mode and co-op mode.
