Apple stores will deliver home delivery
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new EasyPay Online Ordering program will be available in stores in August. On the other hand, the move to offer in-store home delivery may signal a bigger strategy change. Previously, Apple store employees could only offer customers to shop online or help customers fill their orders through the website. With this new program, Apple will be combining home delivery with the company’s retail EasyPay terminals.
The new home delivery program can also make it easier to check availability or save money at Apple stores. In addition, a practical convenience is offered. Customers who purchase bulky products such as an iMac or Mac Pro can now have the product shipped to their home instead of carrying it out of the store.
Gurman also thinks this move could help Apple’s retail strategy for Vision Pro glasses. As it is known, Vision Pro will have different accessories and these accessories may not be in stock in every store. If any part of the Vision Pro installation requested by the customer is out of stock in the store, the missing part can be sent directly to the customer, thus avoiding a potential failure to sell.
