Set in the wizarding universe of Harry Potter, developed by Avalanche Software and developed by Warner Bros. The Hogwarts Legacy game, published by Games, has achieved significant success, selling more than 12 million copies just 2 weeks after its release. This impressive number was reached two weeks after the game’s release on February 10 on PC and current-gen platforms.
According to Variety, the game brought the publisher $850 million in revenue through global sales, enough to make Hogwarts Legacy the company’s biggest game ever. Hogwarts Legacy holds the record for the most watched single-player game on Twitch with 1.28 million concurrent viewers.
On Steam, however, we see Hogwarts Legacy climbing to impressive positions in both concurrent players (879,308 players) and bestseller lists.
Warner Bros. also shared a few additional stats with Variety. Accordingly, players spent 267 million hours in the game between February 10-21.
This impressive feat could only grow as other platforms come into play. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version will be released on July 25, while the Nintendo Switch version will be released on April 4.
