Game developers need to consider players with different problems while implementing their new projects. For example, it is not desirable for bright lights to trigger epileptic attacks or for those with a fear of spiders to be nervous. Hogwarts Legacy is well aware of this.

No fear of spiders at Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy, one of the record-breaking games of the year, brings players who are afraid of spiders to the fore with its new update. Thanks to Arachnophobia Mode, spider characters are now transformed into an image consisting of only a head and skates.

Activated from the Accessibility menu, the mod changes the images of spiders in motion or corpse state. Also, the sound effects are reduced. It is stated that only static spider images that are presented as pictures in the frame are not affected by this mode.

Hogwarts Legacy is not the first for sensitivities. Previously, spider characters in Grounded and deep sea areas in Horizon Forbidden West were hidden from players. Hogwarts Legacy is also coming to Xbox One and PS4 consoles this week.
