Egyptian archaeologists discovered a tomb belonging to the pharaoh near the capital, Cairo. It was announced that the mummy found in the tomb may be the oldest mummy ever discovered in Egypt.
The mummy is 4,300 years old, according to preliminary estimates.
In the studies carried out, the age of the mummy was determined to be approximately 4,300 years. The mummy was found near the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, near tombs belonging to the fifth and sixth dynasties of the Old Kingdom.
It was shared that the mummy belonged to a man named “Hekashepes”. The mummy was covered with gold leaf and was contained in a limestone sarcophagus.
