As automotive giants rushed towards the electric vehicle market, a remarkable move came from the US company Ford. According to Ford’s statement, internal combustion and electric car operations will be separated as a result of the acceleration of emission-free vehicle production.
Ford Motor; announced the separation of its electric vehicle (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) operations. Electric vehicle (EV) products will be carried out by “Ford Model E”, while traditional internal combustion operations will be carried out by “Ford Blue” company. A third segment, “Ford Pro”, will serve commercial customers.

Ford Model E division will produce electric vehicles, while Ford Blue will focus on traditional (internal combustion) models. Each of the two ventures will have separate directors and will report their own financial results. Both companies will be headquartered in Michigan.
Ford press release states that Ford Model E and Ford Blue will be run as separate businesses, but at the same time He said they would support each other. Executives at the EV company will benefit from access to Ford’s industrial know-how, while at the same time connecting traditional business with new technologies.
Ford CEO Jim Farley said, “Ford will no longer manufacture the Model E. Because the structures we build mean that they should be stronger than a by-product”, he said:
“Our goal with Ford Plus is to be a company that changes the world once again. Together with Ford Blue’s industrial know-how and volume, we want to provide rapid and endless innovation in the Ford Model E. “
Ford has also raised some of its operational and financial targets. The company plans to produce two million electric vehicles by 2026, about a third of the global target, and to increase this production by half by 2030. In February, Ford said electric vehicles would make up at least 40 percent of its product range by 2030.
