Samsung’s next premium mid-range phone will be the Galaxy A55. Most information about the upcoming phone has already leaked and the leaks are expected to continue until the phone is introduced.
One of these leaks was published by MySmartPrice, which published high-quality images of the Galaxy A55 and a 360-degree video, revealing the design of the phone from every angle. Surprisingly, the A55 bears great resemblance to the Galaxy A54, at least in terms of overall design.
However, there are some differences, and the biggest of them may come in the form of flat frames that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will have. It is said that the Galaxy A55 and A35 may have a metal frame, but no information about this is given in the new leak.
Images of the phone suggest that it will have a smaller bezel on the front than the Galaxy A54, but the images and press renders may not be entirely accurate in how accurately they depict the device’s bezels. Therefore, we may need to see the phone live to be sure that Samsung has corrected the frames of the Galaxy A54 in the new device.
On the hardware front, the Galaxy A55 will be the first mid-range Samsung phone to feature the company’s Xclipse GPUs based on AMD’s RDNA2 architecture. However, it is not yet known how the Exynos 1480 chip inside the A55 will perform in real-world tests. The performance of Exynos 1380 on the Galaxy A54 was quite poor, but we hope Samsung will achieve better performance with the Exynos 1480 and Galaxy A55.
