Almost a year ago, Spotify announced that it plans to offer a higher quality CD quality streaming service in some markets in 2021. However, Spotify has not yet switched to the HiFi service, and the annoying part is that there is no indication of when it will come.
“Artists and fans tell us that HiFi quality sound is important to them. We agree with them and are excited to bring the Spotify HiFi experience to Premium users in the future,” a Spotify spokesperson told Engadget. Looking at this, we don’t think this service will come for a while.
On the other hand, pricing and other details about Spotify HiFi remain unclear. However, the company has confirmed that the service will work with Spotify Connect-enabled devices.
