Apple made a number of changes to the stock apps in iOS 17, including the Weather app. With the update, some changes were made to the functionality and design of the application. These changes are as follows:What’s new in the Weather app
The biggest update is the option to see yesterday’s weather in the 10-day forecast. In iOS 16, we could only view the current day and the next 10 days. But in iOS 17, you can view the weather for the current day, the next 10 days, and the previous day.
Some weather modules have been relocated, rain and hourly forecasts are displayed first. News and alerts are shown further down in the app, and there’s a new “Averages” weather module that shows how the current temperature deviates from the historical average for that day.
Apple has added a Lunar module that displays the current state of the Moon, the time until the next full moon, moonrise times, and the lunar calendar. Also, the wind speed module has a larger size that shows information about wind speed at a glance. In addition, UV index, humidity, felt index and daily comparisons were also included.
